Full Set of Regional Vice Chairs Now in Place
The NASC’s Scotland and Northern Ireland region has been bolstered through the appointment of Ronnie Charters as its first Vice Chairman.
Mr Charters, HSQE Manager at Network Scaffolding Ltd, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having been involved in the scaffolding and construction industries for more than 30 years.
During this time, Mr Charters has gained a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry as well as a first-hand appreciation of the delivery of scaffolding and access training gained through serving as a CITB Instructor from 2014 to 2018.
Speaking about his new role, Mr Charters said: “I’m passionate about health and safety and believe wholeheartedly in the role training plays in improving standards in the scaffolding industry.
“I’m fortunate enough to have worked for a number of NASC member companies in my career and understand the value of what the Confederation does for the good of the membership and the industry as a whole.
“I’m really looking forward to serving as regional Vice Chairman and supporting regional chair Kevin Fitzpatrick in any way I can.”
Mr Charters’ appointment as Scotland and Northern Ireland region Vice Chairman means that each of the five NASC regions now has a vice chair in place.
Robin James, NASC Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ronnie into the NASC fold and to now have a full complement of regional vice chairs in place. This helps with succession planning but also helps lighten the load of the regional chairs, who coordinate and lead the regional meetings as well as represent their regions at NASC full council meetings.”
