Position Overview

NASC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Training Executive to join our team and support the Head of Training and Education in the development and delivery of high-quality training content. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in the evolution of our training programmes, including the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS), and to contribute to the continued success of NASC’s educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in training development, digital content creation, and an interest in improving education standards within the construction sector.

NASC is the leading trade association for the scaffolding and access sector, setting the standards for safety, technical excellence, and professional development across the industry. With a strong membership base that spans contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers, NASC plays a pivotal role in advancing best practices and promoting growth across the scaffolding and access sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Development
• Review and update existing CISRS training materials to ensure they remain current, compliant, and effective.
• Collaborate with educational partners to develop new academic programmes in line with NASC and CISRS standards.
• Work closely with the Head of Technical to ensure technical accuracy in all training materials.
• Develop multimedia content, including videos, animations, and infographics, to enhance the learning experience that we offer.

2. Digital Delivery
• Ensure training materials are optimised for NASC and CISRS digital platforms, including websites and mobile apps.
• Collaborate with the IT team to upload, test, and monitor content, ensuring usability and accessibility.
• Regularly review and update digital resources to reflect changes in legislation, industry standards, and best practices.

3. Stakeholder Engagement
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as training providers, educational partners, and industry experts to gather feedback on training content.
• Represent NASC and CISRS at industry meetings, workshops, and events, promoting training initiatives and gathering insights for improvement.

4. Quality Assurance
• Conduct regular audits of training materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Gather feedback from learners and training providers to continuously improve training content.
• Maintain accurate records of content updates and version control.

5. Administrative Support
• Assist the Head of Training and Education in the administration and coordination of training projects.
• Help produce reports on training programme performance and learner outcomes.
• Provide logistical support for training-related events and initiatives.

Key Qualifications and Experience Required

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training materials, ideally within a construction or technical environment.
• Strong understanding of digital learning platforms and multimedia content creation (e.g., LMS systems, video editing, graphic design tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and engagingly.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in digital content development tools and platforms.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in scaffolding, construction, or a related industry.
• Familiarity with CISRS or similar training schemes.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital learning content.
• Relevant qualifications in training, education, or instructional design.
• Knowledge of how to develop an educational competency framework.
