National Access And Scaffolding Conferation Mpu 1

NASC to exhibit at Safety & Health Expo at ExCel June 17-19

The NASC will be exhibiting at trade stand V2350 at the forthcoming Safety & Health Expo at London’s ExCel. The show runs from June 17-19 and is the UK’s largest health & safety event. The intention is to promote the work of the NASC and the scaffolding industry training organisation CISRS to the construction and health and safety industries.

NASC will be actively promoting the launch of its innovative new TG20:13 tube and fitting technical guidance at the show, and will be giving live demonstrations of the TG20:13 eGuide in both PC/laptop format, and in the new Android App version, which provides a mobile, digital good practice guide for tube and fitting scaffolding.

The new eGuide App is compatible with all Google Android platform devices and can be used offline, making it ideal for remote site work away from 4G, 3G or Wifi services. TG20:13 reports such as TG20:13 compliance sheets can be generated by the Android app, and can be quickly and easily shared to the cloud via popular applications such as Dropbox, ensuring colleagues and customers are kept fully up to date.

NASC staff and member representatives will be on hand with a range of NASC promotional literature, and will be showcasing a raft of new and revised safety guidance documents and associated publications, including the NASC 2014 Safety Report. The annual Safety Report will be fresh off the press for the event, and will demonstrate the benefits of using NASC member companies to the event audience.

The Safety & Health Expo is run exclusively with the support of IOSH, RoSPA and the BSIF and is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. Safety & Health Expo organisers say: “The Safety & Health Expo has established itself as the definitive UK industry event, consistently attracting health and safety decision makers from multiple sectors with responsibilities across the UK, Europe and international markets. It is designed to meet the needs of the UK and international health and safety industry.”

NASC MD, Robin James said: “A presence at this health & safety event has been extremely valuable for the NASC in the past. With so much new and revised safety and technical guidance available to the scaffolding industry and the wider construction sector, not to mention the new TG20:13 guidance for tube and fitting scaffolding and its associated eGuide App, NASC wanted to have a standalone presence at the event, to demonstrate to the health and safety industry what we are doing as the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK.”

CISRS Training Manager, Dave Mosley added: “CISRS is constantly engaged in producing and refining new and existing scaffolding training courses. This event gives CISRS an opportunity to tell the industry what we are doing to improve the standards of scaffolding training in the UK. We are very pleased to have a presence at this leading health and safety event with NASC, and hope that people will come and visit us over the three days.”
