This guidance note is intended to help employers, managers and supervisors make vehicle accidents in the workplace less likely. It will also be useful for self-employed people, contractors, safety representatives, vehicle operators and other employees concerned with transport safety in the workplace.
This guidance has had significant changes made including added images. The purpose of this guide is to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury from slips and trips by providing advice and guidance to all persons involved in organising, planning, managing or undertaking work in scaffolding related activities.
Employers are responsible for establishing an inspection regime for the inspection of fall protection equipment that is produced and implemented by a competent person. A Register of equipment should be compiled for use in managing the inspection regime.

Substance abuse affects the functioning of both body and mind and can increase the chance of having or causing an accident. The damaging health effects of substance abuse may increase when combined with exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace.
