NASC Clarifies Misinformation Surrounding CISRS and Skills Bootcamps

NASC Clarifies Misinformation Surrounding CISRS and Scaffolding & Access Skills Bootcamps

For Immediate Release

The National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) wishes to address inaccuracies recently circulated in a press release regarding the funding and eligibility criteria for CISRS and Scaffolding & Access Skills Bootcamps. NASC is committed to providing clear and accurate information to ensure fair access and understanding across the scaffolding and access industry.

The recent press release incorrectly implied these Skills Bootcamps were fully funded and restricted to participants from certain membership organisations only. We want to clarify that, while Skills Bootcamps is available, it is only fully subsidised for new entrants and part-funded from 70% to 90% for upskilling eligible courses. These are available only at a select number of CISRS-accredited centres across the UK.

NASC strongly supports the Skills Bootcamps initiative to attract fresh talent to the scaffolding and access sector, addressing skills shortages and providing new employment opportunities. We are actively collaborating with several other industry organisations to broaden the availability of this training nationwide. This work is part of our commitment to a truly inclusive approach, ensuring that these Skills Bootcamps are accessible to the wider sector and not limited to members of any one association or body.

We look forward to working with our partners to promote an England-wide initiative that benefits the entire industry, in line with the Department for Education funding rules.

For further information about Skills Bootcamps funding opportunities, course locations and eligibility criteria we encourage interested parties to reach out directly to NASC.
