NASC at Catterick

The NASC attended the latest British Forces Resettlement Service (BFRS) careers event in Catterick.

The NASC attended the latest British Forces Resettlement Service (BFRS) careers event in Catterick as part of its ongoing campaign to offer career opportunities to the men and women of the Armed Forces.

As well as being signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, the NASC has created a dedicated fund for its members to support the recruitment of veterans into their organisations. Members will be funded the full cost of scaffolder training and up to £1,000 for any veterans recruited to non-scaffolder roles, with the sole stipulation being that the veterans have to have left the military within the last 5 years.

To further support military recruitment, the NASC are co-sponsors of the BFRS events and this is clearly creating a positive impression amongst the incredible men and women in our Armed Forces, as evidenced by the incredible level of interest they showed in what the members had to offer. NASC members Enigma Industrial Services, Alltask and IBN Scaffold Access Ltd were represented at the event and between them over 60 job applications and referrals for interviews were made, as well as hundreds of information packs handed out.

This is the most successful military recruitment event yet and with the continuing efforts to broaden relationships with key stakeholders and veterans’ organisations, the NASC are confident of building on this remarkable success. Very special thanks are extended to all of the members who participated on the day, as well as great appreciation to all the NASC members that continue to show support for this important initiative.

The next BFRS event, co-sponsored by the NASC, is at Leicester Racecourse on the 16th of June, 2022. There are a limited number of spaces available for stands within the NASC area but members can register for the event here.
