NASC Backs Youthbuild UK

Confederation will sponsor Young Builder of the Year award

NASC reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing sponsorship of Youthbuild UK, following a recent Building Pathways best practice event held in London on 15 June.

The event showcased the ways in which leading industry organisations help to unlock the potential of disengaged and disadvantaged young people to help fill the industry skills gap.

Presenters from organisations such as St Edmunds Society, OHOB, Seddon Ltd, and NHBC all explained how they go the extra mile to engage with and train young people in construction skills, and bring them into the construction sector.

All the presentations were inspiring, yet each told a different story. An impressive delegate list will have experienced the genuine feelgood factor which comes with every success story, often achieved after overcoming difficult odds.

The event concluded with a presentation by a former winner of the Young Builder of the Year Awards, Selena Hall, prior to launch of the 2022 edition of the Awards.

NASC will be sponsoring one of the awards categories in 2022 and will be looking out for entries for the Young Builder of the Year awards from NASC members.
