New H&S Committee Vice Chair

Kate Thomson chosen to deputise for and support Health & Safety Committee chair.

Kate Thomson has been selected as NASC Health & Safety Committee vice chair.

In this role, Kate, Office Manager at Thomson Scaffolding Ltd, based in Glamorgan, Wales, will deputise for and support the Health & Safety Committee chair.

Kate said: “I am really pleased to have been chosen as Health & Safety Committee vice chair and looking forward to playing a greater role in committee activities, which make a real difference to scaffolding contractors and operatives across the UK.”

Alan Harris, Director at Pro-Fix Access Ltd and Health & Safety Committee chair, said: “During the past three years on this committee Kate has been enthusiastic, positive, committed and professional with her approach to the various tasks that she has volunteered for.

“She has been proactive in the various sub committees that she has been on and is always willing to put in the extra effort that is required to get documents out on time. Not only is Kate passionate about the H&S committee but she is also very keen to promote the NASC and its principles as a whole.

“I find Kate to be a fair, gregarious and loyal member of the committee, who is not afraid to stand up for the scaffolding industry and l have no doubt will offer a great deal as vice chair to enable the H&S committee to carry on its good work in the future.”

Kate has also agreed to serve as the H&S Committee representative on the NASC ‘fast response’ Current Affairs Committee.
