The general moving and storage of scaffolding materials can be quite noisy and other related activities such as abrasive wheel cutters, bench mounted circular saws and drills all generate noise levels that could be detrimental to health that may require the employer to provide hearing protection and the employees to use it correctly.
The purpose of a brickguard is to prevent materials from falling off the working platform of the scaffold where toeboards do not offer sufficient protection. The inclusion or omission of brickguards should be considered when discussing the contract. 4 pages
