This guidance gives details of various products available which will satisfactorily hold down scaffold boards to prevent movement. Users should satisfy themselves that any proprietary system meets their requirements. 4 pages
Many free standing temporary scaffolding structures, such as access towers, major signboards and protection enclosures, need to be anchored to the ground, primarily to resist wind forces. This guidance gives some details of the various applications available. 4 pages
TG4:19 had amendments predominantly in relation to the orientation of ring bolts where current thinking is that settlement is probably greater than side wind loads so reduces potential shear loads on the bolt. Other minor changes were cosmetic. A recent update in April 2019 saw the removal of one reference only when the guidance was reissued as TG4:19. 24 pages
This guidance explains the differences between ‘supplementary’ and ‘check’ couplers and gives typical design applications where high coupler forces could be expected and where additional loadbearing capacity to connections may be required. It also contains guidance on coupler configurations and expected safe working loads (SWLs) where supplementary couplers are used. To ensure that SWL values are as accurate as possible, data provided within this document is based on practical testing rather than calculation. 2 pages
This guidance on the use of scaffolding equipment that has been exposed to excessive heat, such as during a building fire and whether it can be safely re-used. Cost of fire damage evaluation does not warrant recovery of metal components.

In an ideal world all working platforms should contain no gaps or holes. This updated guidance is a simplification of the previous 2003 issue regarding working platforms, which have additional requirements over those that are normally provided on an access scaffold. Quality and the thickness of ply used are integral. 4 pages
This guidance identifies the specification and test requirements and minimum markings to be found on all EN74-1 scaffold fittings. The 2015 update sees no change other than dates. EN74-1 is unlikely to change in the next four years.

A temporary roof or building is a sheeted structure designed to protect the area inside from the effects of weather, dust, etc. This guide is intended to give design and construction information to the suppliers and erectors of temporary roofs and buildings and intended for use by contractors during the building process. 56 pages
This guide is intended to aid those who commission scaffold designs by summarising the responsibilities of each party involved at each stage of the process. It also details the requirements for preparing a design brief with information required by the Designer to enable a suitable and sufficient design to be produced, as well as outlining the design process, checking requirements and expected output information. This document is complimented by CG6: Scaffold Design. 6 pages.

Updated 2015 version is a change of date only. Scaffold board nail plates are specially stamped toothed strips of galvanised steel that can be used to help prevent scaffold boards developing splits, or in repairing scaffold boards that have split. This guidance gives details on the manufacture and installation of Nail Plates.
