NASC Involved in Meeting with Minister

The NASC’s President and Managing Director this week represented the UK scaffolding industry during a virtual Construction Leadership Council (CLC) meeting.

During the call Lynn Way, who serves as a CLC Senior Advisory Group member, and Robin James contributed to discussions on issues including the impacts of inflation, addressing the skills shortage and delays in the implementation of UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking.

Construction Minister Lee Rowley MP, CLC Co-Chair, gave an insight into managing inflation from a government perspective, and promised to raise a number of concerns that arose during the meeting with his colleagues in Whitehall.

Lynn Way said: “It’s fantastic that the NASC has seats around the table at meetings like these as this ensures that the needs and concerns of the scaffolding industry are heard at the highest level. We are proud of our efforts to represent the interests of NASC members and the scaffolding industry as a whole through relevant industry partnerships and collaborations such as the CLC, Build UK, and the Contractors Legal Group.”
