New Regional Vice Chair Appointed

The NASC’s South West and South Wales region has been bolstered through the appointment of Dave Battison as its Vice Chairman.

Mr Battison, General Manager of Fred Champion Scaffolding, brings more than 20 years’ scaffolding industry experience and expertise to the role, having risen through the ranks from Labourer, Scaffolder, Supervisor, Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager before taking on his current position.

Mr Battison replaces Matthew Cousins of Apex Scaffolding (Exeter) Ltd who has taken on the position of NASC Contracts Committee Chair.

Speaking about his new role, Mr Battison, who also sits on the NASC Contracts Committee, said: “I’m honoured to be named as Regional Vice Chair and look forward to supporting the Chair, David Anderson, and NASC members in our region.

“With my background being in smaller companies, I hope to bring my enthusiasm, an ability to think outside of the box and an understanding of what smaller members businesses go through, including balancing turnover with production, trying to maintain compliance and other associated issues, to help the NASC achieve its aims and objectives.”

Robin James, NASC Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Dave into the NASC fold. His appointment will ensure the NASC continues to have strong member representation in the South West & South Wales.”
