This webinar is an opportunity for the CISRS team to discuss the decision taken by the CISRS Board to terminate its membership of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). This decision was taken following updated legal advice that CISRS was at undue risk due to being in breach of Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Industry Card Scheme Rules.
Following a detailed review of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Industry Card Scheme Rules, issued in March 2024, to which the CSCS scheme is subject, the CISRS Board concluded it can't fully comply with the revised requirements. while continuing to fulfil its obligations to the wider scaffolding and access industry.
The scaffolding and access sector needs a certification scheme that is applicable to all the projects on which scaffolders work and all the places in which they work: construction is only one of the sectors to which scaffolding and access is vital.
