About the Event
Teacher Tours is a national pilot initiative delivered by NASC in partnership with CITB and CWIC, designed to give educators direct insight into the scaffolding industry and the opportunities it offers.
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the UK’s sector skills council for construction across England, Scotland and Wales, plays a key role in attracting new talent, developing skills, and promoting safety through funding courses, setting industry benchmarks, and supporting training standards. In Wales, CWIC complements this by working closely with industry to build a stable, resilient workforce—identifying skills gaps and delivering innovative solutions to meet evolving demands.
Supporting this initiative, Centregreat Engineering brings extensive expertise in the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, including road and rail bridges, piers, jetties, water control structures and slipways. With strong capabilities in design management and assurance, their highly experienced engineering team specialises in both new-build and refurbishment projects. Their leadership includes a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with over 35 years’ experience, and all personnel are qualified to operate in rail environments.
Together, these organisations provide a comprehensive and practical introduction to the scaffolding sector, helping educators better understand career pathways and industry needs.
