Completion of Part 1 training by apprentices
The first cohort of six apprentices has successfully completed the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) Tube and Fitting Part 1 course, marking a significant milestone for the Enigma Industrial Services Training Centre and its developing scaffolding apprenticeship programme.
The apprentices began their 18-month Scaffolder Apprenticeship Programme in July 2025 at the Enigma Industrial Services Training Centre in Derby. On 20 February 2026, they celebrated successful completion of the CISRS Tube and Fitting Part 1 course, gaining practical skills in scaffold erection, alteration, dismantling and inspection alongside a clear understanding of health and safety requirements.
Those completing the training were apprentice scaffolders drawn from Access North, Access Northwest and the Industrial business units, all employed by Enigma Industrial Services. The group included Reece Watson, Alan Fitzsimmons, Lennie Lake, Jack Harrison, Jake Hoole and Henry Tomlinson.
The success follows significant investment in 2025 in the training centre, including assessment and accreditation through the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register, CITB Approved Training Organisation status and CISRS recognition. Enigma Industrial Services is also now a member of the CITB Training Provider Network.
Enigma Industrial Services currently supports 98 apprentices, representing 12 per cent of its workforce, as part of a wider commitment to skills development and long term growth.
Roy Rogers Compliance & Training Director said “The team were delighted to welcome Scott Hardie Managing Director and senior management team to share in the presentation of Part 1 certificates to apprentices. The early success of the Enigma Industrial Services Training Centre provides confidence in the quality of training, dedication of the staff and investment by Enigma Industrial Services.”
Rogers added that everyone was looking forward to further successes with the apprentice programme. “With passion, commitment and drive, the apprentices will continue to strive toward their chosen career in the scaffolding industry,” he added.
