New issue of Scaffolding Insider out now

The latest issue of the magazine widely regarded as "The Voice of Scaffolding and Access" is available to download now

The first issue of Scaffolding Insider for 2026 is out now and features the usual wealth of people, opinions, projects and news from across the industry.

The cover story this issue is a look at those projects that aren't always front of mind - they don't happen in the centre of a major city or on a landmark historical building. These are projects that happen away from main roads and high-density populations; projects that are nevertheless vitally important even though they are off the beaten track. Projects highlighted include the RNLI station on Exmouth seafront (Apex Scaffolding) and the St Erth recycling project in Cornwall (Chris Sedgeman Scaffolding).

Elsewhere, there are tributes and an obituary for Wayne Connolly, NASC President and Chair until his sudden and unexpected death at the end of last year. Voices from across the industry offer insights into the man and the leader he was.

There is also the first of a handy new feature in which NASC's Health and Safety Manager, Steve Kearney, picks the top five things to take away from a piece of NASC guidance. To start he highlights what you need to know about CG27 Third Party Walls and the Scaffolding Contractor.

A packed magazine also features an insightful update on fire safety with a focus on scaffold sheeting and the need for proper authentication and rigorous testing as well as all the latest NASC news. If you're reading this news story on our new site, you will already be aware there has been a major upgrade of the NASC and CISRS digital ecosystem. You can read more about this in this issue and the result is a more professional, modern, safer and easier user experience for members and non-members alike.
